Meet The Team

Justin Braitling

CIO/Portfolio Manager

Justin has over 26 years experience in investing in Australian and international securities. Justin was an Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Bankers Trust for 12 years from January 1991 to June 2002. Justin was a key member of the investment team at Bankers Trust that was consistently ranked in the top quartile of managers by independent investment consultants, InTech. Justin established Watermark in 2003 as an Absolute Return manager of Australian shares. Justin has been a Director of Australian Leaders Fund Ltd since October 2003 and became Chairman in February 2007.

Tim Hoff

Basic Industries

Tim is responsible for Basic Industries. He comes to Watermark from Deutsche Bank, where he was lead analyst for gold, base and battery material stocks. Tim transitioned into the investment industry in 2016 after working as a geologist at Rio Tinto for 7 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Metals and Mining.

Daniel Broeren

Consumer/Retail

Daniel covers the Consumer, Retail, Gaming and Leisure sectors. He joined Watermark in October 2018. Prior to this, he was a Portfolio Manager at Invesco Australia, with responsibility for the Invesco Small Companies Fund. Daniel has over 13 years’ experience in financial markets, including 5 years as Head of Consumer Research at RBS (CIMB). Daniel has a Masters Degree in Accounting and Applied Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from RMIT University.

Gaston Amoros

TMT/Healthcare

Gaston is responsible for TMT and Healthcare. He has spent over 4 years as a Senior Investment Manager with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and has over 13 years’ experience working across public and private capital markets. Gaston has held investment roles with Benros Capital, TPG Capital and Morgan Stanley. Gaston holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Universidad Catolica Argentina and a Masters in Finance.

Harry Dudley

Financials

Harry was appointed as an investment analyst in November 2018, covering the financials sector. Harry comes to Watermark from Macquarie Equities, where he had responsibility for coverage of the Australian banks. Having commenced his investing career in 2013, Harry has also held Investment Analyst roles with IFM Investors and Evans & Partners. Harry holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a CFA Charterholder and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

Willy Mulyadi

Quant Analyst

Willy is responsible for quantitative analysis and system management. Willy joined Watermark in February 2018. Prior to this, he spent two years with Walsh & Co Asset Management as System and Operations Manager and before that he was a Portfolio Trader/Analyst at Metisq Capital (formerly known as MIR Investment Management). Willy holds a Master of Finance and a Bachelor of Accounting

Alex Gurman

Dealer

Alex joined Watermark Funds Management in November 2018 as a Dealer. Alex began his career as a Sales Trader with Goldman Sachs in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) / Science (Statistics) from the University of New South Wales.

Tim Bolger

COO & Head of Distribution

Tim joined Watermark Funds Management in 2014 as COO and Head of Distribution. He brings extensive experience in the development, marketing and distribution of investment and insurance products throughout Australia. Tim is responsible for Watermark’s distribution effort, as well as all operational aspects of the business. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Law. Prior to Watermark, Tim was a Director of Distribution at Bennelong Funds Management

Rani Singh

Business Development Manager

Rani joined Watermark Funds Management in October 2016 as a Business Development Manager. She has broad experience within client service, marketing and business development while holding roles at Macquarie Bank and Ellerston Capital. Rani has completed a Bachelor of Commerce at University of New South Wales and has completed Level 1 of the CFA program.
